CFPP Improvers
CFPP (cold filter plugging point) improvers are additives added to diesel fuel to improve its low-temperature performance.
Diesel fuel can start to gel or solidify at low temperatures, clogging fuel filters and making it difficult for the fuel to flow through the engine.
CFPP improvers are typically polymers that are added to the fuel in small concentrations. They work by changing the crystal structure of the wax molecules that can form in the fuel at low temperatures. This makes the wax molecules less likely to aggregate and form larger particles that can clog fuel filters.
CFPP improvers can be particularly useful in winter when temperatures drop below freezing. They can also help prevent the formation of ice crystals in the fuel, which can cause engine performance problems.
