Cloud Point Improvers
Cloud point improvers are additives used to improve the cold flow properties of diesel and other distillate fuels.
These additives work by modifying the wax crystal structure in the fuel, which helps to lower the cloud point, the temperature at which wax crystals begin to form, and causes the fuel to become hazy or cloudy.
In colder temperatures, the wax in diesel fuel can solidify and clog fuel filters and injectors, leading to engine damage and reduced performance. Cloud point improvers prevent this from happening by lowering the temperature at which the fuel begins to form wax crystals.
